Our Story

Our story began in 1974, when our restaurant first opened on the corner of Broadway and 36th Street in Manhattan. Originally known as Broadway’s J2 Pizza, we started as a kosher pizza restaurant that quickly became a neighborhood favorite in the Garment District. For generations, customers have kept our original phone number saved—passed down from parents to children—a small but meaningful symbol of the lasting relationships we’ve built since our very first day.

Over the years, our name and location evolved, but our commitment to quality never changed. Today, we proudly operate as Jerusalem Café, offering a diverse menu of fresh, casual kosher cuisine inspired by both classic comfort foods and Israeli flavors.

Our extensive menu includes pizza, sushi, salads, pasta, sandwiches, wraps, and authentic Israeli favorites such as falafel, hummus, and fresh salads. We also feature a hot food bar with a wide variety of options for dine-in and delivery customers.

Jerusalem Café is an established kosher restaurant in New York City, known for consistently high quality, generous portions, and a loyal local following. We focus on fresh ingredients, reliable execution, and delivery-friendly dishes that travel well, ensuring every meal meets the same high standards—whether enjoyed in our café or at home.

We are honored to welcome guests from around the world. Visitors from South America, Europe, Israel, Australia, Russia, and beyond make Jerusalem Café a must-visit whenever they come to New York City. More than a restaurant, Jerusalem Café is a place where tradition, quality, and community come together—serving our customers with pride since 1974.
